    Planes, Trains, and Buses

Airplanes: The closest and cheapest place to fly into is the Atlanta Airport. As far as I know, the cheapest way to fly into it is on AirTran. I did a sample fare from DC to Atlanta that priced at $160 roundtrip.

Trains: Amtrack will bring you to Atlanta. I did a sample fare from DC to Atlanta that priced at $140 one-way.

Buses: Greyhound will bring you right to Auburn, AL. I did a sample fare from DC to Atlanta that priced at $118 roundtrip if ordered 14 days in advance. Check their website for more info on their special Summer Fares and for their Companion Fare which makes tickets half-price when travelling in even numbers.

Please keep in mind that the organizers are few and very busy, if you need transportation from Atlanta to Auburn, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make arrangements to pick you up. We'd ask that everyone try to schedule arrivals in the afternoon of July 19th and departures no earlier than 10 am on July 23rd, so that we can coordinate one trip to and from Atlanta. By coming in earlier, we will be able to schedule times to pick you up.

If you come into Atlanta during the convention, there is ground transportation to and from Atlanta from Dixie Excursions in Auburn, Alabama. Their roundtrip fare is $40, they pick up from the airport and can drop you off at the Auburn Hotel and Conference Center, located two blocks from the convention. Call them at 1-800-322-5382 to make reservations.
