Getting There

The eighth annual Southern Girls Convention will be held Friday, June 23 – Sunday, June 25, 2006 in Houston, Texas, at The Artery and the University of Houston's UC Underground.

Where To Go

The Artery

On Friday, June 23rd please come to The Artery, on 5401 Jackson (map / directions) sometime between 4 and 10 PM. From 288 South exit right on Southmore and then take a left on Jackson to 5401 Jackson @ Prospect. If you arrive in Houston after 10 PM please call (281) 250-0566.

UC Underground

On Saturday, June 24th and Sunday, June 25th the convention begins at 8 AM at U of H's UC Underground. From 45 S, exit Spur 5 and follow the feeder around the university. You'll see a Pizza Hut and you'll get to a light at University Dr. Turn right. Pass a stop sign (UH Fitness Center is on the left). Come to a light (Catholic Center will be on the right) at Calhoun. Through the light and the University Center is on the right with a circle drive in front and an information/security desk across from it.

Parking is immediately on your right once you pass the light in Lot 1B. The gates should be open and the parking should be ample. Once in the UC, go down to the lower level, and the Underground is behind the fountain. Breakfast is in the Cougar Den, which is next to the ice cream shop.

Where to stay

Please register for the convention by June 15th to get free housing in Houston.
