Community Housing Update
Wednesday, May 4th, 2005Hello SGCers We have secured camping facilites that will be utilized for free community housing for attendees. Camp SGC is a campsite less than two miles from the campus that is managed by the city of Baton Rouge Department of Recreation. The campgrounds are very nice, very comfortable, and very welcoming. There are bathrooms with showers and a washateria on site, not to mention lots of covered picnic areas and beautiful oak trees surrounding the site. We will carpool back and forth, plus give out maps to Camp SGC at check-in. Also, SGC organizers will camp at the site right along with you, we will claim the campground for SGC 2005!!
So please remember to bring tents and bedding for your stay. We have some tents available, so let us know if you need one. Also, we can rent tents from our recreation building on campus for you, but you must let us know ahead of time so we can have it for you when you check in.
